WeVOIS raised Rs 36 Cr Series A funding from Negen Capital

Jan 18, 2025

A Series A round led by Negen Capital and Vyom Wealth (the Polycab family office) has raised Rs 36 crore ($4.2 million) for waste management startup WeVOIS. Other angel investors, including Venture Catalysts, SN Capital, Warmup Ventures, Marsshot Ventures (Razorpay Founders’ Fund), and others, have also contributed. The money raised will be utilized to grow partnerships, scale operations, and spur innovation throughout India. WeVOIS, a company founded by Abhinav Vashistha, is demonstrating innovation in sustainable waste management by establishing textile waste recycling facilities and bio-CNG plants to turn wet waste into clean energy. WeVOIS is improving material flows, cutting carbon emissions, increasing recycling efficiency, and optimizing waste collection by leveraging its proprietary technology, which is driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). Only 12 million of India’s 62 million tonnes of waste are treated before being disposed of each year, according to market research. By 2030, this volume is predicted to more than double, highlighting the pressing need for creative, scalable solutions.
